The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund is dedicated to support research and education that furthers early detection, prevention and treatment of prostate, colon and stomach cancers. Our philosophy stems from the notion that "Knowledge Equals Power."
Early detection allows people to effectively plan strategies to deal with the disease early on and affords a better chance to overcome the cancer.
To date we have raised over $450,000 and have donated over $281,000 to cancer charities, including $117,000 to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and $100,000 to the T.J. Martel Foundation, to support their ongoing research into early detection technologies and for the treatment and cure of prostate, colon and stomach cancers. We have a continued pledge to both of these organizations for the next two years and are committed to raising the funds for this important research.
